Fifth-year student (Department of Musical Art of the Stage — MIE, class of Associate Professor V.G. Palitsyn) Timur Kozhobekov became one of the winners of the XXII International Competition of Young Performers of Russian Romance, the final of which took place on December 12, 2018, in the Hall of Church Councils in Moscow. According to the jury's decision, Timur was awarded the Third Prize, but based on the results of online voting, he won the First Prize.
Thanks to this success, Timur Kozhobekov — among thirty vocalists from around the world — was invited to perform at the Gala Concert dedicated to the International Day of Russian Romance, held on January 26, 2019, at the State Kremlin Palace.
Later, Timur took part in the XIX Festival of Young Performers of Patriotic Songs “Through Generations,” which was held in the city of Noyabrsk, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, from February 6 to 11. There, he also achieved great success — winning the Second Prize. After the competition, all participants performed at Gala Concerts in Noyabrsk and Gubkinsky.
